MICRONEEDLE
Microneedling is a minimally invasive dermatological procedure that utilizes fine needles to create micro-injuries in the skin. Also referred to as percutaneous collagen induction therapy, this technique activates the body's natural healing mechanisms, enhancing collagen and elastin production. Consequently, it improves the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and overall texture. Explore the advantages of this advanced treatment for aid and youthful complexion.
Who Can Benefit From Microneedle?
Microneedling can benefit people who want to improve their skin's texture, appearance, and reduce the appearance of scars, stretch marks, and wrinkles. It can also help with acne, rosacea, and alopecia.
Microneedling also helps with hyperpigmentation, fine lines, and many other skin concerns.

Micro-needle Depth Questions
The depth at which you should microneedle depends on the type of skin you have, the reason for microneedling, and your pain tolerance.
Needle depth by skin type
-
Thicker skin: For mature skin, stretch marks, and scar tissue, you might need a deeper needle.
-
Ageing skin: For wrinkles, you might use a needle length of 0.5 mm or 1.0 mm.
-
Acne and scars: For acne and other scars, you might use a needle length of 1.5–2 mm.
Needle depth by pain tolerance
-
If 1.5 mm is too painful, you can use a shallower needle, but you might need to pass the needle over the skin more often.
Nano Needles - 0.1mm-0.25mm
On the smaller side of things, we have what we call a nanoneedle depth. Nano needles are 0.1mm to 0.25mm and are one of the best sizes to get started with, especially if skin needling from home.
The purpose of this size of needle is to boost the absorption of skincare serums and work on stubborn skin issues like large pores. The tiny microneedles have the added advantage of providing the skin with a fast recovery time - This means you can have a skin needling treatment up to 3 times a week.

Facial Needles - 0.5mm-1mm
The most used facial needle sizes are 0.5mm and 1mm. Both of these sizes are suitable for most areas of the face and can be used for almost any skin issue. Since in-home skin needling began, the robust needle depth of 0.5mm has been the number one selling needle size.
It's important to remember when using microneedling therapy on the face that we don't use vitamin c directly after the treatment as well as making sure to avoid the session if we have moderate sunburn or any active acne.

Large Microneedles - 1.5mm-3mm
Large microneedles are made explicitly for treating extremely deep acne scarring, stretch marks, cellulite and body scarring. Needles of this size are generally far too large for the face (except on very rare cases).
